Week 2

Happy Week Two!
I hope you had a restful weekend.  Back to work!  This week, we will continue our benchmark review.  Monday, we will have an abbreviated schedule due to our attendance at the Cailloux theater's performance of "Vocal Trash."  Tuesday we will meet for a few minutes in the classroom before moving to the computer lab to complete the Edmodo Snapshot and to work on our menu blogs.  More benchmark review is slated for Wednesday and Thursday, and then we have our weekly quizzes on Friday.
If you haven't yet turned them in, make sure you complete your Christmas Vacation assignment, and get to work on those Kamicos.  Kamico 7&8 will be made available this week.  Those are worth 200 points each, so they should serve as having the most bang for your buck.
We talked about the three different scores thus far in the grading period- make sure you are hovering around the "Probable" column and not the "Problematic" column!
See you tomorrow,
Mr. Mein

Edmodo

I like to introduce new tools throughout the year that I can use in my classroom to make the learning more engaging.  Edmodo is an educational tool that both the students and I can use to communicate, to assess various skills, and to track progress.  My students will be visiting the computer lab quite regularly in the new semester, and this is one of the tools that we will use quite frequently.  Additionally, there is an app for both Android and Apple iOS devices that I would encourage your students to install on their devices.

Below, please select ONLY the link that is associated with your class period.

I'm excited about finishing this school year with you strong... we're halfway there!

Welcome Back!

Welcome back, Missions!
I hope you all had a very restful holiday, and you're ready to come back and jump back into the swing of things.  We're going to hit the ground running, so please make sure you are prepared for class (Writer's Notebook, something to write with, positive attitude).
See you Monday,
Mr. M
